The Padstappers organize the Sinterklaas tour (Saint Nicholas tour) on November 22. It is a unique walk through the hiking trails in and around Geraardsbergen and the Flemish Ardennes. It starts between 8 am and 3 pm. There is a choice between walks of  4, 7, 10, 12, 16, 22, 26 and 32 km. Departure in the provincial domain De Gavers, meeting point ‘De Doos’, Onkerzelestraat 280 in Onkerzele- Geraardsbergen, at 4 km from our holiday home. Saint Nicholas is awaiting you there with his black helpers. They hand out goodies and there is a gift for the children. Drinks and food are available. Appointment in ‘De Doos’.

On December 9, the Padstapper (Walking Club) organizes the Waffle Tour. Head down to ‘De Spiraal’ in the city center of Geraardsbergen and walk through the winter landscape around the city. The course is built around three loops, all three leaving from the starting place ‘De Spiraal’. There is a loop of 6.9 km, a loop of 8.5 km and one of 5.7 km. A free freshly baked waffle is offered.

On October 24th, the Padstappers (Walking Club) organizes the Winter Hour Walk. A unique walk through the Flemish Ardennes. You can start between 7h30 am and 3 pm. You can choose between walks of 4, 7, 10, 14, 18, 22 km. Starting point is at the Gemeentelijke Basisschool, Edingseweg 344 in Denderwindeke near Ninove, about 15 minutes by car from our holiday home.

There is a choice between walks of 7, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26 and 32 km. Starting point is the provincial domain the Gavers, meeting point at ‘De Doos’, Onkerzelestraat 280 in Onkerzele- Geraardsbergen, 4 km from our holiday home.

On Saturday, August 1st, the Padstappers (Club of walkers), organizes the Saint-Adriaens summer walking tour. You can start between 6 am and 3 pm. Make your choice between following distances : 7, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 32 or 50 km. Departure at the Vrije Basisschool, Zikastraat 55 in Moerbeke. About 4 km from our holiday house.
